Class 8’s Rainforest Models

During D&T this half term, Year 3 have been exploring pneumatic systems and how to use these to create a moving part in a rainforest model. The children investigated different mechanical systems and designed their own rainforest model which incorporated a moving part. They used syringes and plastic tubing to move air from one part of their model to another and showed great levels of resilience as this was the trickiest part of the construction process! The children have been reflecting on their work this week when writing a formal evaluation. They are incredibly proud of their models and so they should be. Well done Class 8!
