Class 10 Haka Routines in PE Dance

In PE, Class 10 have been learning the Haka as part of exploring dance from other cultures.

‘The haka is a ceremonial dance or challenge in Māori culture. It is a posture dance performed by a group, with vigorous movements and stamping of the feet.’  
‘It is performed by the All Blacks before every Test match – home and away – immediately prior to kick-off. It is a short ritual that sees players performing facial contortions, stamping their feet and slapping their thighs.’
