Class 9- Rock Detectives.

With our history topic being the Stone Age this half term, we are exploring different types of rock. We’ve explored their properties, thought about which rocks could have been used to make Stone Age weapons and investigated which rock would be most suitable to make a statue. To do this, we completed a scratch test. The children were provided with a variety of rocks and tools to complete this experiment. Class 9 concluded that marble would be the best rock as it was hard, impermeable, wouldn’t be easily damaged and was smooth.
