Royal Ballet

Today, Year 3 began their exciting journey with Miss Gough and Mr Hague from the Royal Ballet School.

The children have learnt how to greet their ballet teachers along with how to stand in first position, how to pliē and the importance of stretching their arms and legs when creating a dance.

Mr Hague created Stone Age themed music, using a range of instruments that he brought along, for the class to dance to as they imaged themselves back in the Stone Age time collecting berries, firewood, making spears and hunting animals.

In October, the children will have the opportunity to visit the Globe Theatre, in Blackpool, to see the students of the Royal Ballet School perform some of their routines.
