London 2012 Mascot Competition
Wenlock and Mandeville say, "Hi!"
They need your help...
We're challenging you to dress Wenlock and Mandeville in a style that represents our area and community. We're looking for design projects that show what is special about the North West of England.
Your project should include some research about your local community, its sporting and cultural heritage. Include any information you found to help you design your mascots.
You need to:
1. Find information about the North West of England e.g. Blackpool tower, Manchester museums, countryside, manufacturing industry and so on.
2. Use this information to plan what areas you would like to show to your mascot.
3. Design your mascot to reflect where he has been e.g. a mascot that has visited Burnley might be wearing a flat cap, clogs and claret and blue while holding reel of cotton and a lump of coal.
4. Your project must be NO MORE THAN 10 pages long.
Deadline: Monday 29th November 2010
If Anchorsholme is shortlisted, you will get the chance to travel to London and spend the day representing your ideas to a panel of judges. This winning school will get a visit from either Wenlock or Mandeville.
