Viking Day

After a tough few days I thought it would be nice to share with you a few of the fantastic events that we have held in school so far this half term and look back on the achievements made. Even though we are in a difficult situation I am confident that we will be back in our stride in no time achieving some more great things. I can’t wait to have you all back in school! I hope you have made the most of your time and I am sure you will be all itching to get back!

If you are wanting to continue focusing on elements of your learning until we are back in school I have set some SPAG challenges on Your usernames and passwords are all in your learning journals. You could also be reading at home regularly as our gold podium is waiting for its new winner and the ‘Red Hot Hitters’ board the same. So remember to keep working hard on your times tables and using Hit the Button. There are also lots of activities in your learning journals themselves to complete and spelling rules to practise and learn. I will be testing you on our ‘cian’ focus Tuesday morning.

Any additional work will be praised and shared and Purple Mash and the internet has lots of games and information linked to our current or previous learning. You may even want to practise the short method of multiplication, step method division, read some examples of stories from other cultures and research our Viking and Anglo Saxon topic in preparation for your return.

Below are some pictures of our Viking Day and our trip to Beacon Fell. As you can see the children all had a great time even with the mud and the rain!
I look forward to seeing you all Monday.

Miss Ellis 🙂
